Challenge Accepted: Making Every Word Count
With a tight deadline, set by The Body Shop’s headquarters, we had to learn quickly how to adjust the tone and language to suit each piece of content.
We translated internal training materials, e-shop content, marketing materials, and articles from English to Greek on a daily basis.
Another tricky aspect that we tackled in this project was that The Body Shop’s message of inclusivity and embracing diversity had to be accurately conveyed in every translation. Another layer of complexity was added to the project by the material’s technical terminology related to makeup, perfumes, and skin types.


Translating with Precision and Speed
Despite these challenges, our team delivered quality translations and transcreations that met The Body Shop’s needs. We created a glossary to ensure consistency in terminology, used online databases and dictionaries, and worked with a CAT tool to speed up the process.
We also went the extra mile, working extra hours to ensure we had time for a last round of edits before delivering the projects.
This approach helped ensure that every word was precise and meaningful.
