The translation/transcreation process
Method ensures quality:The translation/transcreation process at Words Collective
Are you curious about how the process of translating content works?
Let us give you a quick overview of what it entails.
The prepwork
It all starts with reading the instructions that clients provide (if any) and the text itself.
Next, we try to identify any unknown terms, and dive deep into researching the topic. We use a range of resources, such as dictionaries, online forums, databases, and even consult with our network of fellow translators when necessary.
We then select the most suitable translation tool for the project. Some tools are more suitable for technical texts than others.

The work
Once we have all the required resources and tools, the translation process begins. Sometimes, the content may need to be adjusted to a certain tone of voice and style, which requires us to transcreate the content. At this stage, we may have to be in constant communication with the client to ensure we are achieving the desired outcome.
We then proceed with the translation process, keeping in mind the specific needs of the client and the target audience.
Editing & proofreading
We let the translation sit for a day or two, depending on the deadline, and then work on it again with clear eyes and mind. This helps us catch any errors that we may have missed during the first pass.
The translated content is carefully proofread to ensure that it is free of any grammatical, spelling, or syntax errors.

The delivery
Finally, we deliver the assignment in the preferred format of the client and allow them to review and make any necessary edits.
Our process involves research, tool selection, editing, and proofreading to ensure that your message is not just translated, but tailored for your audience. Our diverse resources guarantee that your content will resonate with your clients and appeal to their specific needs. Trust us to bring your brand to life to a new market!
