ABOUT ME
I am Katerina Sapounaki, Translator, Creative Editor & Founder of The Words Collective.
With a BA Degree in Greek Literature (AUTh), a Diploma in Translation, a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing and more than 10 years of experience with prestigious international brands, I enjoy taking on translation challenges, daily. Participating in international projects, working with translators from around the world, and adjusting to the various project requirements have shaped my personality and made me flexible, communicative, and effective for any new task I undertake.
When I’m not hunched over my computer pounding the keys with excitement and inspiration, I’m usually reading a favourite book or running up the mountains (literally!). Although I collaborate closely with a small number of trusted individuals, I identify myself as a solopreneur and a solo traveler, because travelling gives me freedom and serves as a source of creativity for each new professional step. Two things that I adore: volunteering in all its forms, and animals. And two words that inspire me: solidarity (which nourishes the soul) and pastitsio (which nourishes the body).
